Opihi College Website and Parent Portal

When Opihi College's new Deputy Principal Kate Staniford contacted us asking to quote for a new website for their small rural school, we were happy to offer our services. And, as we had a strong existing relationship with Kate, who was formerly from Horowhenua College (who used SchoolPoint), we made an ideal match.

We worked within the design specification alongside Kate and the Principal Mike Wright and presented a clean modern responsive design that was an instant hit. This quickly allowed us to implement into our custom content management system that allows full control of the website - and our bespoke KAMAR integration - to publish notices and events from KAMAR, the school's Student Management System, directly on to their website without any double entry. This lead to the next project for Inbox Design - The Temuka secondary school wasn't using the KAMAR Parent Portal and mobile apps, so we then set up an off-site hosting enviroment to host the portal on our servers, and themed it to match the new website.

Having Inbox Design host the school's Website & KAMAR Parent Portal means that we will maintain the backups, updates and security of all of the school's online presence. 

Inbox Design is a great company to work with when redesigning your webpage, working towards online option choices or incorporating the Kamar portal. Sheldon is always at the end of the phone, acts promptly on your feedback and presents quality products. We are very happy with our new webpage, it meets our needs entirely and is easy for staff to adapt as time passes. It was particularly important for us to have a website that worked on all screen sizes and had a clean, modern look. Sheldon has achieved this with no problem at all, creatively incorporating our school brand.

SchoolPoint

Opihi College has now started using our Online Course Section Software, SchoolPoint, for their student course selection that will allow caregivers and students to login to the website, browse available courses and make an informed selection. Planning their next steps in the Career Pathway. 
Choosing courses online will save the school the time and laying out, proofing and printing the course selection booklets, which will save the school hundred's in printing costs.
