SchoolPoint enables students and parents/ caregivers to browse your curriculum learning areas, all of your courses, and future pathway choices, throughout the year. 

While exploring your curriculum and courses, students are supported in the decisions making process by detailed descriptions, images, video presentations and links to your SMS or related information. When registration opens, students are able to view all of the courses available for their next timetable year level, see descriptions, entry requirements, fees & equipment expenses, prerequisites and credit information. 

Students can also see their internal and external credits, literacy credits, Numeracy Credits and UE Literacy Credits.

Course Pathway Selector Features

Our software can integrate directly into your school.kiwi portal as well as any other Student Management System, to allow for consistently up to date student information. 

Our sync works with all of New Zealand's Student Management Systems. This removes the need for manual data entry almost completely.

Enter as much information on your subjects as you want. Delegate permissions for Administrators, Deans, Heads of Department and to your Careers team.

Cloud-Based and Accessible Everywhere

SchoolPoint is hosted by us- Inbox Design; there are no servers to set up, configure or maintain. It can be accessed from any browser, anywhere- school, home or other institution. All data is backed up online. There are no printouts to file and no emails to save.

Simple Course Selection

Our online course selection software is simple for students and caregivers to use, and fast for your administration staff and tutor leaders to load learning areas, courses and information.

We offer full reporting services that you can import directly back to KAMAR or any other Student Management System for manipulation and reporting in Excel.

Career Research is part of Course Selection

Students researching what careers or jobs they want should be connected to their subject selection journey. 

The subjects they select can be linked to careers paths which means they can choose subjects based on the career path they want to follow, or help shape that path based on the courses they select. 

Career Information comes directly for the Tahatu Careers Navigator website and your careers team have complete control over which courses and careers are linked.

SchoolPoint will maintain all Standard information, for Staff/Head of Department to load a standard against a course, you just enter the Standard number, eg: 91224 and the system will load the Descriptions, Information, Credits and Vocational Pathway information:

Define Required Courses

Ability to define the number of required course selections on a per year level basis.

You can make this required based on the the following options and more:

  • Students current timetabled classes
  • Students current Selections
  • IFTTT - If this, then that
Required Notes

Define on a course basis if notes are required when a student selects that course.
Require Students to Enter Notes:

  • No note is required or available to enter
  • A note is required (at least 30 characters)
  • Make notes optional - Student can enter notes, but do not have to

If Enabled, The Student must enter notes on why they want to take the currently viewed course before selecting it
