Intermediate React Front-end Developer
Help us build software that powers schools all over New Zealand. We’re looking for an Intermediate Front-end Developer with solid experience in React, Node.js, and TypeScript to join our small, collaborative team in Mt Maunganui. You’ll work on our Education SaaS platform, used daily by students, teachers, and caregivers.
What You’ll Do
Develop and maintain a responsive, high-quality production web application using React.
Build intuitive, user-friendly interfaces with a strong focus on UI/UX best practices.
Integrate backend APIs (Node.js/PHP) to deliver seamless features and functionality.
Contribute to the full development lifecycle—from idea to deployment.
Make independent design and technical decisions to keep projects moving forward.
Use Git and Jira to maintain a clean, well-managed codebase.
Participate in code reviews to uphold best practices and high-quality standards.
Pitch in with customer support (live chat, email, phone) during busy periods to gain insight into how schools use our platform.
What You’ll Bring
Required
Experience building and maintaining full-stack web applications using React and Node.js.
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and creating user-focused designs.
Familiarity with backend development and RESTful API integration.
Proficiency with Git for version control.
Nice to Have
Experience with PHP APIs.
Strong Bootstrap/Reactstrap skills.
React Native experience.
Understanding of application scalability, performance, and reliability.
Interest in keeping up to date with emerging technologies and frameworks.

Trainer & Customer Support Person
We are looking for a support person to help train our new and existing school customers primarily on our SchoolBridge Platform, which involves online staff and student forms, as well as Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) forms and workflow.
What you’ll do
Deliver primarily remote training and retraining for new and existing SchoolBridge customers
Run webinars and online demos for prospective schools.
Help with support via live chat, email, and phone—separate user error from technical issues.
Keep help guides and documentation up to date as products evolve.
Work with our developer/trainer to turn school feedback into product improvements.
Must-have Experience & Skills
Native-level English fluency (C2 CEFR) with clear, confident written and verbal communication.
Customer service skills- experience providing support and relating to customers
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management skills.
Reliable and comfortable working both independently and collaborating in a team environment.
Must be a self starter and use your initiative
Familiar with remote work tools (video calls, screen sharing, shared docs).
Nice to have
Experience in the NZ education sector and/or EOTC processes.
Familiarity with SchoolBridge or SchoolPoint.
Basic understanding of web apps (forms, workflows) and troubleshooting.
