Installation and Theming of the Athenaeum Library Portal for Schools
Inbox Design has worked with the Athenaeum Library Portal since its concept. The Athenaeum (Ath-en-ay-um) n. suite of applications is built with FileMaker and has two library packages and a utility program available for school and small business libraries.
The Library Portal is an extension of Athenaeum that allows a web based interface for searching and viewing of books within your Library.
Installation
Inbox Design can install and configure the web platform on your webserver, it can either be a IIS Windows server, Mac OSX or a linux server running PHP 5 or newer.
Your web server can be the same server as your filemaker server or another machine on the same network.
We will need access you both your web server and filemaker servers, are can assist with setting up both internal and external http access to the Portal. Many configuration options set the portal up at an address such as http://library.domain.co.nz and allow both internal and external access so borrowers can view your catalog from home.
